All might appear to be lost if you damage
your digital camera or it’s memory card. However, that might not be true if you act quickly. If you dropped your camera in the sea, as quickly as you can, pull the memory stick out and give light rinse in fresh water. Then dry it carefully with a towel. Don’t leave it int eh sun and bring it to us as quickly as you can. There’s a change we can recover the data.
Don’t rely on a single external devices
such as a laptop or USB storage devices as a backup, especially if you have a lot of trip of a lifetime pictures. Make sure you store your pictures and video in both places and if you can, a fourth device is not over the top.
We can usually restore a lot of data from solid state devices
even if they have been in the seas as long as you rinsed them real quick and kept them out of the sun. For external HDDs, if you dropped or knocked them hard it might be quite a mission getting your stuff off them. We recommend using solid state disks for your external devices — they are much more reliable but that doesn’t stop them getting stolen!
